- The course will advertise in the newspaper, check the advertisement and choose the field you are interested in.
- Get yourself registered by visiting the official site Join Pakistan Navy.
- Your form will be approved within a week, and after that, the test date and time will be allocated to you according to your chosen selection and recruitment center.
- You have to report to the test center along with your documents, and you will be sent to the test room after verifying them. All the documents must be original and have your Identity card (Chip) and Smart Card (Juvenile) in case you are under 18.
- The test pattern for Matric Science includes 75 intelligence questions within 30 minutes and 75 academic questions (Phy, Chem, Maths, and General Knowledge) within 30 minutes.
- The test pattern for Matric Arts includes 75 intelligence questions within 30 minutes and 75 academic questions (Eng, General Science, General Maths, and General Knowledge) Within 30 minutes.
- The successful candidates are then called for Physical and Medical Tests.
- Physical Tests include
- 1.6 Km in 8 minutes,
- 15 push-ups in 2 minutes
- 15 Sit-ups in 2 minutes,
- 4 Chin-ups in 2 minutes

- Height and Weight (BMI) Calculation
- Whole Body Checkup
- ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) Examination
- Eyesight Examination

- The successful candidates will be called for an interview, which is just an essential interview including questions about yourself, your family, study, and so on.
- The successful candidates of the Initial Interview will be called up for a Personality Test, which includes
- Bio Data Form (Basic Details about you, your family, and education details)
- 50 Sentence Completion Test (Sentences in Urdu with two sets each of 25 sentences)
- 50 Word Association Test (words will be displayed on a projector each word for 10 seconds, and you have to look, think and write within 10 seconds)
- 2 Picture Stories (Each picture will be displayed on screen, and you have to write a story within 3 minutes. So, total 6 minutes for each story)
- 2 Pointer Stories ( 2 incomplete sentences will be given, and you must continue the story from that sentence. Time is 3 minutes for each pointer story and 6 minutes for 2 pointer stories).

- Incident Writing (Like an unforgettable moment of your life, the most challenging time of your life, the happiest moment of your life, and many similar topics )
- Those candidates who clear the personality tests are called for a final detailed Naval Board Interview, usually 15-20 minutes. This will be from all your previous performances, personality tests, and biodata forms. They may ask some academic questions like General Knowledge.
- The Naval Headquarters compiles a merit list of successful candidates based on the overall performance of the candidates.
- The successful candidates will receive a call or message to report PNS Hamaliya, and now the temporary selection is completed.
- After some medical tests and documentation procedures, the final selection will be made at PNS Hamaliya.
- The candidates declared unfit will return to their homes, and the rest will continue their training.
